Research

Current Research Topics

My current research focuses on the passive restoration of streams in the catchment in Basse-Normandie. The study’s framework is the discharge of Lake Vezins and the removal of two large dams in the Sélune River. The research encompasses areas of sediment that have been remodeled by civil engineering and areas conserved by the state.. I am interested in monitoring the spatial and temporal responses of riparian vegetation and understanding the processes of plant community recolonisation.

My objective is to identify and predict plant community distribution from the perspective of taxonomic and functional richness. I analyze the spatial and environmental factors that influence colonisation. I also study rare and invasive species’ responses to habitat changes. The aim of the study is to develop restoration techniques and tools for river managers that promote using natural revegetation to stabilise artificialised sectors.
