Résumé :
Climate change is having a major impact on coastal regions, leading to water scarcity and ecosystem health and conflicts over use. In these regions, coastal and submarine springs are observed throughout the world. These sources represent both major flows of freshwater to the sea and major inputs of nutrients to marine ecosystems. However, they have been poorly assessed or monitored. They may be an alternative water supply, useful considering aquaculture or tourism hotspots. They must also be taken into account in the water cycle as a whole. By considering these fragile agro-hydro-ecosystems, we will present a holistic transdisciplinary approach including marine biology/ecology that we would like to apply on the island of Chios, under the frame of the partnership chair GeEAUde and that we would like to extend to other pilot sites located on the Mediterranean coasts of France, Morocco... through ANR or HE projects.
