Current Research Topics
I am involved in research programs on biological invasions of vertebrates. In the field, I participate in ecological surveys, inventories, sampling and eradications carried out by our research team on island ecosystems generally disrupted by introduced mammals (rodents and carnivores).
I manage collections of specimens and tissues (mainly mammals) collected during field operations. This work requires, in particular:
- necropsies of animals, with the collection of biometric data and information on reproduction, and tissue samples for subsequent studies (genetics, diet, parasitology, and epidemiology)
- conditioning and storage of biological samples
- structuring and updating of databases
- drafting of specification sheets
